PART OF THE AWARD BADGE Elevate Your Center Advocate Lessons Karla Sutter is an author, speaker, and former director of a pregnancy center in Bozeman, Montana. Her passion is for pregnancy centers all over the world to thrive and become selfsustaining. The goal of Elevate Your Center training is to help you identify your purpose and translate it throughout all aspects of your center. 1) Branding with Purpose – Vision and Mission 2) Branding with Purpose – Name and Location 3) Marketing with Purpose – Banquets 4) Marketing with Purpose – Communities 5) Leading with Purpose – Hard Stuff By the end of this course, you will be empowered to dream big, elevate your center, and go home at night and think “Yes, we did it today!” Lesson 1: Branding with Purpose – Vision and Mission The goal of this training is to inspire you to dream big, and to reach those dreams through your mission and vision. When you close your eyes and imagine your organization 10, 20, and even 50 years from now, what do you see? A vision statement is meant to capture that. Your vision statement is a future-based statement that should inspire and attract people to join you, because it allows them to see where your center plans to go. The mission statement should contain the key things you will focus on to accomplish the vision. Together they will elevate your center. Lesson 2: Branding with Purpose – Name & Place Karla will share the importance of branding through your center’s name and location. Your name is the most important part of your brand because it tells your clients who you are. Your location is the part of your brand that tells your clients where you are. Abortion providers aren’t hiding, we need to stop hiding too! If God is calling you to grow, move, or change your name, trust Him and dream big to elevate your center. Lesson 3: Marketing with Purpose – Banquets Karla has successfully helped many nonprofits implement a proven and successful plan for raising funds, as well as creating sustainable income from their community. In this lesson we will talk about how to successfully plan a banquet. To say that our world is changing is an understatement, and Karla will share how to thrive as you look to the future and learn how to implement virtual and hybrid events. Together we will elevate your banquets. Lesson 4: Marketing w/ Purpose – Communities Karla will walk with you as you create a community of ongoing supporters for your center. Three years into her ten years as director at the pregnancy center, it became clear that they needed to create a program that would ensure continuous monthly giving. This was the year that they created a Courageous Community. She will be teaching you how to build partner programs that will create a sustainable income and help lay a foundation for future growth. Together we will elevate your own courageous community of donors. Lesson 5: Leading with Purpose – Hard Stuff The final lesson highlights Karla’s biggest takeaways as a director - the things she wishes she would have known, and the lessons she learned from them. Karla hopes that, as you work through them, it will help elevate your center. She shares these lessons with you out of love for all the pregnancy centers in this battle for life, with hope that they will impact and bless your center. 45
